Sofia Bohdanowicz is a filmmaker from Toronto. She is the founder of the production company MAISON DU BONHEUR. Focuses of her work have screened at BAFICI, Cinemateca de Bogotà, DocLisboa and Festival du nouveau cinéma. Her third feature film, MS Slavic 7, graced the cover of Cinema Scope, premiered at the Berlinale and was featured at the Harvard Film Archive. She recently completed her fourth feature titled A Woman Escapes, a co-direction with filmmakers Burak Çevik and Blake Williams which won the Churubusco Prize at CATAPULTA 2021. She is currently in development on her fifth feature film titled Opus 28 which won the Kodak-Silverway prize during FIDMarseille’s co-production lab.

In collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), he made the documentary En Otra Tierra (2010). He made the film Flaneur (2014) as a FONCA fellow in Audiovisual Media. He was academic coordinator at the Cine Arte 7 school, where he has been teaching classes such as: Experimental Cinema, Texts and Manifestos, Author Cinema and Cinematographic Atmospheres for 8 years. He is the founder and director of the Festival del Puerto, a contemporary film gathering held in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, since 2015. He is the founder and director of Cinekomuna, a digital platform that seeks to integrate the different participants in the film industry in Mexico.

Barbara Sarasola-Day is a film director, screenwriter and producer. She studied Communication at the University of Buenos Aires, script and creation document in London and Barcelona. She graduated from the EAVE Producer's Workshop in 2015. As a director, in 2013 she premiered Deshora at the Berlinale Panorama. In 2018 at the Rome Festival and in 2019 at ACID Trip, ACID, at the Cannes Festival, premiered White Blood. As a screenwriter, he co-wrote La asfixia by Ana Bustamante Cruz and El rocío by Emiliano Grieco. I produce Rojo (2018) and The movement (2015) by Benjamin Naishtat, Carajita (2021) and Tiger (2017) by Silvina Schnicer and Ulises Porra Guardiola, Candelaria (2017) by Jhonny Hendrix, among others.

The prize for CATAPULTA FIRST CUT, awarded by UNAM, consists of the amount of $100,000.00 (One hundred thousand mexican pesos 00/100 M.N.) or its equivalent in US dollars for the film.
